Claims support
When something goes wrong, know who to call.
A claim can be stressful. Your broker can help you understand the notification steps, organise relevant information and communicate with the insurer.
A clear first step can make a difference.
Follow the claim-notification instructions in your policy and contact us as soon as possible. We can help clarify the process and the documents the insurer may ask for.
01 · Make sure everyone is safe
If anyone is injured or in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services first.
02 · Notify the insurer promptly
Use the contact details and deadlines in your policy. If you are unsure, call your broker for guidance.
03 · Keep a record
Save photographs, receipts, reports and relevant communications. Do not dispose of damaged items before checking the insurer’s instructions.
04 · Avoid assumptions
Do not admit liability or promise payment on behalf of an insurer. Provide accurate information and keep copies of what you submit.
What the insurer may ask for
Requirements vary by policy and incident. The insurer may request a completed claim form, proof of ownership, invoices, photographs, repair estimates or an incident report. Claim decisions are made by the insurer under the policy terms.
